Home away from Home
Enjoy the coastal view from Jordan Point just steps from our first-year residence halls. Head over to The Pub in the Ripich Commons and have a late night snack with friends. Relax and read a book at Freddy Beach. Stay a while at UNE.
About Our Office
In the Office of Housing and Residential/Commuter Life, we work around the clock to make your college experience positive and comfortable. We want to ensure you feel at home in your residence hall, and we’re here to provide the resources you need to become active members of the University community.
In order to assist you after your time in residential housing has ended, our office is also committed to maintaining resources on local rental information and serving as a support to commuter students.
Living on Campus
For most college students, living on campus is a rite of passage. At UNE, your roommates and neighbors quickly become family. Late night study sessions turn into celebratory donut runs in the morning after acing the exam. With our campus situated at the start of Hills Beach Road, you’ll live in a culturally rich, environmentally beautiful, and safe community in a seaside town where others come to vacation.
Living on campus provides easy access to everything happening at the University. As a residential student, you can choose from a variety of meal plans to eat at our dining facilities.
Living off Campus
If you are eligible to live off campus, Southern Maine and the greater Portland area provide a number of rental options. The charming coastal communities in Maine produce a number of seasonal properties that are only used by the owner in the summer months, meaning that during your senior year, you could live on the beach with a group of friends.
